Home Based Business

For a while now I’ve been thinking about starting a home-based business.

1) Am I starting a business from scratch?
2) Am I going the affiliate marketing route?
3) Am I getting into network marketing?
4) Does this business interfere with my faith?
5) Does this business take time away from my family?
6) Will this home-based business be online only?
7) Will my business offer digital products, physical products or both?

A lot of questions I Know.

First:
Am I starting a business from scratch?
My answer is NO! For me, I just don’t have the time or money to create a product or service I can sale from home. I need a ready to go out of the box business. A business I can start with a v y low investment and not a lot of overhead so it leads me to my next question.

Start A Business

Am I going the affiliate marketing route?
Maybe? Not a lot of overhead. I will only be out few dollars on a domain name and about $7 to $24 for hosting every month. My only problem with affiliate marketing is doing all the article writing every day. I don’t have the time or the desire to write 1000 word articles every day just to make a sale. I’m not a very good writer, so this will help me make my decision about affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing

Am I getting into network marketing?
I don’t know. Everyone knows someone who has been in some network marketing business at some time or another. A lot of times people get tricked into visiting sales parties or home meetings where someone is showing a business plan for the latest greatest business. Nothing is wrong with network marketing but if I was going this route it had to be legit. It would have to be a company that has great products and didn’t inflate their prices.

And the BIG ONE:
A company that doesn’t make me sale products door-to-door. It ain’t happening every! There is nothing wrong with face-to-face sales or door-to-door sales, it just isn’t for me.

door to door sales

I want to buy products from myself and just tell other people how do the same thing and make a commission. I want it to be that simple. No parties and no tricking people to see a business plan.

Does this business interfere with my faith?
I don’t want to be apart of or start a business that makes me feel like I’m being dishonest with people. I don’t every want to trick people into buying something that doesn’t really work. I don’t want to promote something I wouldn’t use myself. What ever business I start it has to have integrity. Lying and false promoting will only give you a bad name and hurt any chances of you making any real money. My business will have to be about making other people’s lives better not just my own.

Does this business take time away from my family?
I already have a full time job. I can’t handle another full time job at this time. I need to be able to start a home based business that I can gradually had more time to it as I’m able to walk away from my 9 to 5 job. I need to be able to start this business and work on it a couple hours here and there. I have a family so that means spending time with the wife and kids.

I’m just like you.
Baseball, football, pick a kid up here and take a kid over there, clean the house, cut the grass, I know life is busy.

Will this home-based business be online only?
I’ve come to the conclusion that I believe to save time, money, overhead and be more convenient, my business should be ran online only. Just because my business is online doesn’t mean I’m not sharing with family and friends. Word of mouth is still the best way ever to share a new business or product.

Will my business offer digital products, physical products or both?
After a l, t of thinking and consideration I believe the sale of physical products online is best for me. Remember I just want to buy products from myself and show other people how to do the same and make a commission.

After months of researching companies and products I’ve decided to go with

Jerky Direct

Why?
It’s beef jerky and I love it. Most guys I know eat beef jerky. Being a male it’s hard for me to sell make up, soap, shampoos, spices, diets, and candles to people especially women. Nothing I can think of any creepier than a dude trying to market soap and shampoos to a lady.
